Table Tipping

On New Year's Eve four of us did a table tipping and a wild ride it was! The table not only tipped, it came up on one side, then the other, it rocked, it swayed and it even tried to levitate. We decided that if it wanted to levitate, the weight of our hands would hold it down, so we lightly placed two fingers underneath and the table immediately lifted off the floor and became as light as a feather. I've done table tipping nearly all my life so it came as no shock to me but the others were thrilled! Next time we're going to try it in a different room w/more space to see if the table will indeed levitate w/o any help from us.

If you would like to try table tipping on your own, just gather three friends, sit around a small wooden table or a card table, which is what we used, and see what happens. Begin your session w/a brief prayer of protection and an invitation to the spirits of the departed who would like to communicate or just say 'hello'. It may take a while before the table will significantly move but you should feel it shimmy a little rather quickly and this will encourage you to be patient and wait for more.

Once you have established that the table will tip for you, begin by asking 'yes or no' questions and ask the table to show you its movements for 'yes and no'. If you want more detailed information, be prepared to wait while it spells out the answers. When the table stops tipping, for instance on the letter S, then you know that is the first letter of the answer. You'll have to do that repeatedly until it spells out a word and then a sentence. As for me, I prefer to ask 'yes or no' questions b/c I don't want to wait that long for an answer. Otherwise, I can use my spirit board for more detailed information. At the end of your session, always dismiss the spirits politely by saying something such as "Thank you for your messages. Now return to where you came from, harming no one upon your return. Go in peace". Then clap your hands three times. This is just in case you happened to attract any negative entities which hate loud noises, and so the clapping will irritate them and they will leave.

An honest business

I recently made an online purchase for some botanical supplies and was pleasantly surprised by the company's honest business practice, not b/c I had heard otherwise about them but b/c of the circumstances. To explain, when I received my order, it was missing a few items. I called the company thinking "How can I prove a negative?" but they said that they would make the correction and send the items out that day. Sure enough, I received the package yesterday. So if you're looking for an honest company for your botanical and magickal needs, go online to www.originalbotanica.com. My guess is that they'll treat you as well and as fairly as they treated me.

Will I do candle magick for others? No. I will not. At one time I did as a service on my now defunct website. I quit doing it b/c it fostered dependence upon me and that is not what candle magick is all about. I'm happy to teach classes about it so that others can learn to do it for themselves. There are all too many people out there who will do magick for you for a fee. I know b/c I was one of them but when I saw the effect that it was having, I could no longer in good conscience continue. I do, however, light a candle when asked. I light them every day for prosperity, healing, psychic abilities, love, success, etc. at no charge. I will be happy to add your name to the list and light a candle for you for one day unless you specifically request that it should be for a longer period of time.

Ok, I'll address it and, hopefully, I'll never have to again.

We're supposed to be open to receive the energy that comes to us today and state our intention that we're open to receive. This is different from what we do daily how? We're also supposed to pay particular attention to how we feel at 11:11 AM & PM. The folks who are serious about this say that some of us will feel something and others won't feel a thing. If you think you're going to feel something, you probably will. Many of us, myself included, have no expectations whatsover. We're just going to get on w/our day, which just happens to be Veterans' Day, and, hopefully, take a moment occasionally to think about the brave men and women who have served our country and of those who are still serving so that we have the freedom to dwell on 11:11 and all that goes w/it. In my opinion, Veterans' Day carries more weight. I believe in the possibility of anything but I put my faith where it rightly belongs, to god/dess. That said I hope that you get out of 11:11 just what you expect and/or deserve.

It'$ a perfect day (or night) to work candle magick for a financial boon. Perhap$ try the $pell that I po$ted $ome time ago that u$e$ brown candle$ and a buckeye. If you're having a hard time finding either one, then ju$t burn a green candle, the clo$er to the color of money the better. Etch your name down the $ide $tarting near the wick and, if you have a $pecific amount of money needed in mind, put that on there, too. Then dre$$ it really well w/$ome fragrant money drawing incen$e $uch a$ pine, cedar, vanilla or my favorite, Indian Fruit. Burn $ome fragrant money drawing incen$e, too, of the $ame name a$ your oil if you have it. Allow the candle to burn it$elf out, then gather it up along w/the incen$e a$he$ in a brown paper bag. Rather than throw it away, bury it $omewhere on your property.

Keep a po$itive attitude, don't try to figure out HOW it'$ going to manife$t for you; that i$n't your part in the magick. And above all, keep the faythe.

Mansfield Reformatory

Well, we didn't go. The trip kept getting postponed until it was too late. The tours have ended until next spring. However, I just recently purchased a new gadget to enable me to hear what the spirits have to say and once I learn how to use it, I'll post about it. So my ghost hunting isn't a total loss. Good news and bad news

This time it's bad news first: Mercury goes retrograde on November 23 @ 11:21 PM, EST. Yes, again. It goes retro 3 times a year for approximately 3 weeks at a time.

Be patient w/all communications, including what you say and what you hear. Computers may go haywire, mail may be late, calls that you're waiting for may not come at all or they may be late as well. Cars, cell phones, Ipads, any electronics could give us headaches. (If my refrigerator acts up again....never mind.) It isn't advisable to buy anything like that during a Mercury retro. Also, don't be surprised if you hear from old friends and exes or if you have the urge to contact them. However, if you meet someone new during this time, chances are it'll fizzle. If you visit some place, you'll go back. Watch your teeth, throat, legs, anything having to do w/communication and movement. It's inadvisable to quit your job or drop your friends during this time, too. Focus on the "re" words: redecorate, renew, redesign, reunite, reorganize, you get the picture. Just do your best to stay centered and don't panic.

The good news: retro Mercury has a beginning, a middle and AN END. It'll be over on December 13 @ 5:43 PM, EST. Keep the faythe. :)

Ghost Hunting

Friends and I, armed w/digital recorders and cameras, have visited a few local cemeteries in an attempt to catch a ghost on camera or to hear its voice. I've reviewed both several times and can't see or hear anything unusual. I'm not going to give up on this either. On November 5, we're going to the Mansfield Reformatory in Ohio. Several paranormal investigators have been there and have seen, heard and felt spirits, one of the teams being Zak and his Ghost Adventures crew. We'll be taking lots of photos and recordings and I'll be sure to post our findings here. In the meantime, if you know of any places in Ohio that you feel we should investigate, please leave a comment here or email me at candela@sssnet.com.

The Psychomanteum

It all began when I read "Reunions" by Raymond Moody, MD. In his book he shares his experiences w/us the method that he uses to communicate w/loved ones, friends, etc. who have passed over to the other side. He gives instructions as to how to build your own psychomanteum and how to conduct a session. Always one to explore something new, I gave it a whirl.

I've only had two sessions and so far I haven't seen or communicated with anyone that I've known personally. However, a man w/a white beard has come through both times. I'm puzzled by this b/c according to Moody, I should be able to see and/or hear departed loved ones. I'm going to stick w/it, though, and try again this evening.

My good friend Pat visited me a week ago and was eager to try a session. I said "I'll leave you alone. I'll be downstairs if you need me for anything". I decided to browse at the computer and after only 15 minutes, Pat came downstairs. I asked "Couldn't make contact?" and she said "Oh yes, my husband came through, my sister, too, and countless other people." After 15 minutes! She said that she felt she was in the psychomanteum for at least an hour. That got me psyched so I'll keep at it and will post here if anything significant should occur.

My Friendly Ghost

At this time of year we're interested in ghosts, spirits and things that go bump in the night b/c the veil between the worlds grows thinner and it's much easier for spirits to make contact w/humans. If you're like me, you watch "Ghost Adventures" (my favorite; love that crazy trio), "Ghost Hunters", "Ghost Lab", "I Survived...Beyond and Back" and the new "Dead Files". I can't get enough of it. I watch these shows year 'round. So, of course, this gets me to thinking about all the paranormal experiences I've had through the years beginning at age 3.

I had wonderful visits w/a woman who held my hand while we talked and told me stories. She was dressed in what I called old fashioned clothes and wore her hair up. I loved this sweet woman and eagerly anticipated her next visit. Eventually she told me that she would be going away for a while but that she would be back for me one day. Whenever I told my mother about these visits, she'd chalk it up to my vivid imagination, thinking that I had an "imaginary friend". Several years later we moved into another apartment and while she was organizing and putting things away, my mother had placed on a chair an old framed photo of her mother. I was outside playing and ran into the house for a drink of water. I stopped in my tracks, pointed to the photo and said "That's the lady! That's the lady who visited me!" My mother replied "It can't be. That's my mother and she died when I was 2 years old". Well, I was adamant and my mother realized that I had indeed been visited by my deceased grandmother. I had never seen that photo of her b/c it had been in storage for years. It now hangs in my meditation room next to the portrait of my grandfather, her husband. She is dressed in Victorian clothing and wears her hair in the Gibson Girl style.

Grandmother came to me at a very perilous time in my life. I had had a bad fall, developed a blood clot on my brain, and during surgery had a stroke. I became seriously ill as a result. Doctors told my parents that I probably would die but, if I lived, I'd have to learn how to walk and talk all over again, which I did. I believe that Grandmother was there to comfort me and, if necessary, to accompany me to the other side. Obviously, I'm still here and Grandmother knew that she was no longer needed in that capacity so she returned to her home in the Summerland. Remember, she did say that she would come back for me so I know that when it's my time to make my transition, Grandmother will be there to welcome and guide me.

It's been a few years, I know, since I last posted here. No excuses; just busy living as I know all of you are as well. I've been getting requests for certain magickal spells, for money, love, healing and psychic power; the usual. However, there are a few tried and true that I've used through the years and they've served me well. They're simple and easy to follow; you don't need any unusual ingredients and they aren't time consuming. All you have to do is pledge your soul to Satan. (KIDDING!) Seriously, anyone of any religion can comfortably do this magick.

So, rather than flap my lip, how 'bout I give you a "Quick Money Spell"? Give it a whirl and send me some feedback. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Be aware, however, that I will remove any vulgar or obscene posts and block you from posting again. And please don't proselytize. This isn't a religion; it's a practice. So be nice. If you don't like what I have to say, just move on. Here's the spell:

QUICK MONEY SPELL
INGREDIENTS
2 brown tapers
1 buckeye
cinnamon oil
one dollar bill

INSTRUCTIONS
Anoint the buckeye and the dollar bill around all the edges w/the cinnamon oil.
Lay the dollar bill flat on your work space.
Anoint both tapers with the cinnamon oil.
Place a taper on each end of the dollar bill.
Light the tapers and focus for a little while, seeing money coming to you quickly.
Let the candles burn all the way down until extinguished.
After the candles are burnt out, wrap the buckeye in the dollar bill and
carry it w/you until the money manifests.

Don't sabotage yourself by asking for more than you know you need or can reasonably use. Perform this spell any time but a full moon is the best time b/c it's when we can make requests for a financial boon. Have fun!

A money experiment

I took part in this experiment several years ago and it worked magnificently in my life. Thought I would share it w/you.

This affirmation should be repeated in the morning and again at bedtime, thereby focusing on abundance, what you have, what you will have and what is on its way to you. Now, at the new moon, would be a good time to start. Do it for a full cycle (at least 28 days or 30 or whatever suits your fancy but give it at least 28 days). I've highlighted phrases for your consideration. This experiment is to make us aware of how open we are to receive, how grateful we are for everything that we have, both tangible and intangible, and equally important, how much we give. Yes, it's important to give of our time and our love and our service. It's also important to give the coin of the realm and to give it impartially. At the end of the cycle, why not share a portion of your bounty? This will keep the flow going and your blessings will multiply.

The affirmation reads as follows:

I dwell in the midst of infinite abundance,
the abundance of God is my infinite source;
The river of life is always flowing,
it flows through me into lavish expression;
good comes to me through unexpected avenues,
God works in myriad ways to bless me,
I now open my mind to receive my good;
miracles of wonder begin to happen;
with God as my Source
everything that is good and true and wonderful flows to me;

If you're writing w/a scam, my virus protection automatically sends you to my junk mail file. The only time I see your email is when I empty the file. I don't read anything you send me any more, so give it up. I've heard everything from "I'm a widow who can't get her money" to "I'm dying" to "I have a Yorkie that I want to find a home for" to "My father left me an inheritance but I can't claim it". The list is endless. Then all I have to do is act as your "emissary" and you'll give me a couple of million dollars in return. I guess there may be people who are stupid enough to read your email but not many are stupid enough to buy your story. So if you want to continue to waste your time w/sending me these ridiculous sob stories, then you're the stupid one. Here's a suggestion for ya: Get a job!

THE LAW OF ABUNDANCE

On the night of the new moon, (next new moon is November 9 at 6:04 PM, EST, 2007) write on a check the following: Where it says “Pay to the order of” write your name. Where you would normally write the amount paid in long hand, write “Paid in Full”. And in place of your signature, write “The Law of Abundance”. DO NOT DATE THE CHECK AND DO NOT WRITE ANY DOLLAR AMOUNT. (Leave those spaces blank.) To do so would limit what and how much you can receive and by when.

Tear the check out of your checkbook, fold it in half towards you (to receive) and conceal it somewhere where neither you nor anyone else will see it. This is so that you will be able to release it from your mind and let it do its work. In your check recorder, DO NOT WRITE “VOID”. If you do, you will void the process. Simply write your name but DO NOT WRITE THE DATE IN YOUR CHECK RECORDER.

Within the two weeks leading up to the full moon, you should receive extra money or its equivalent, such as gifts, an increase on your credit limit, loans repaid to you, your sales can increase, you can get a pay raise, etc. I’ve been doing this every month for at least 20 years and it has never failed me. Ever. I’m not claiming that you’ll become an instant millionaire. But it’s possible!

FULL MOON MAGICK

The full moon (next full moon is October 26, 2007 at 12:53 AM) is when boons are often granted. So this is a boon moon spell.

Place a buckeye on top of a dollar bill in the center of your altar and a brown candle on each side of it. After lighting the candles, chant loudly and for as long as you can maintain a high energy level:

“Money candles burning bright,
work this spell within my sight;
Bring more money now to me;
As is my will, so mote it be!”

After the candles burn down completely, fold the buckeye in the dollar bill and wear it on the left side of your body to attract money. Repeat this spell on each full moon. Expect extra money to come your way.
